Sarah's passion for supporting children and families began in high school when she worked at childcare centers. This interest prompted her to earn a bachelor's degree in Social Work from Wright State University. She then earned a master's degree from Florida State University with a clinical focus. Guided by her belief in the healing process, Sarah deeply understands the impact that mental health and illness can have on children and families.
With over twenty years of clinical practice, Sarah has worked extensively with youth ranging in age from infancy through young adulthood. She is now an integral part of the pediatric team at South Dayton Pediatrics, where she provides behavioral health services. Her mission is to identify mental and behavioral health concerns early and deliver real-time, solution-focused interventions to children, parents, and families.
In addition to direct care, Sarah helps families connect with specialized services that extend the pediatric support system. She educates families so they can gain a deeper understanding of child development, mental health diagnoses, treatment options, and the unique needs of each child.
Outside of her professional work, Sarah enjoys playing music, spending time outdoors, and sharing meaningful moments with family and friends.
"It takes a community to raise a child and the whole medical community to reduce the stigma of mental health. By integrating behavioral health services into pediatric offices, we can identify and meet needs of children early and effectively.”
