All of our providers are sensitive to this and can provide counseling regarding birth control options and which one is the best one for your child.
Some of the issues we'll discuss include:
Nexplanon is a prescription birth control implant which is inserted under the skin of the patient's non-dominant arm. Once implanted, it releases a continuous low dose of a hormone that helps reduce the chance of becoming pregnant.
Dr. Parks will help patients determine the best time within their monthly cycle to have Nexplanon implanted. She will also address how long to use additional methods of birth control after implantation and potential side effects.
Nexplanon can remain implanted for up to three years. To learn more, click here to visit the Nexplanon website.
