Immunization Policy

We believe that all children should receive the recommended vaccines according to the schedule provided by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Centers for Disease Control.

South Dayton Pediatrics is dedicated to providing the best care that we can for our patients and families. We believe that all children should receive the recommended vaccines according to the schedule provided by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Centers for Disease Control. It is our professional belief that vaccines are a safe and effective way of preventing certain diseases in children and young adults.

While we recognize and respect the parents' role as the decision maker for their child's healthcare, we strongly believe that we are obligated to deliver the best and safest healthcare possible for our patients and community.

We strongly support all recommended vaccines, and all of our patients must receive them in a timely manner to remain in our practice. Refusal of these vaccinations indicates a significant difference in philosophy of care. We would ask that anyone whose views differ from our policy find a different provider for primary care.
